 Since apparently this is a problem with the QtCurve theme and the QtCurve
 author only has what is essentially a forum thread as a communication
 medium/bug tracker. This is apparently a problem that started in version
 1.6.3 and was still present at least in 1.6.4 (I don't know beyond that).
 The workaround is to disable rounded tooltips.
