I'm in China for 2 months now and since then I'm trying to get working the
QQ protocol in Pidgin.
My system is Windows 7 with all the last updates, I use Pidgin 2.7.7 with
plugins Skype and Facebook.
First I figure out that I can not see my QQ buddies online even if there
are but I can still chat with them and they see me online. Then I found
that adding again my contact force them to appear online again but after
every reconnection on the protocol I have to do the same.
I've also notice that everytime an certain number of fake new buddy appear
with sort of random QQ number and name. After looking carfully some of
these name are a part of my really buddy name (for example if I have a
contact name Aladin maybe then after reconnect I have a new contact named
"adi" or "ladi" with a different QQ number).
After deleting all Pidgin files and installing/configuring again Pidgin
2.7.5 and then updating to 2.7.7, the problem is still the same.
First I had no hope to make QQ working in Pidgin but now I think that it
can be solve quite easily, it's only something about downloading QQ buddy
list from QQ Tencent server or simpling from the Pidgin saved buddy. Maybe
it can be solved by deleting and adding again correctly all QQ number at
every connexion ? After the only issue will be to add again all buddy
number in Pidgin if someone use both QQ official and Pidgin.
Unfortunately I've no idea how to solve this by my self but knowing that
maybe someone can solve it for next version ?
