 I downloaded Andrei Neculau's emoticons set from this address:
 http://wiki.andreineculau.com/Original_Smileys_Theme_for_Pidgin and I am
 using "Original Smileys, Yahoo! (big)" (see attached picture)

 The problem is that when inserting more of these emoticons (in a normal
 conversation) the CPU spikes on pidgin.exe process to 20-30-40%
 From what I can see on the Windows Task Manager the CPU seems to spike
 more when the emoticon is more animated. I assume there might be a problem
 with the .GIF rendering library.
