 if you carefully read the comments on this ticket,
 you may realize that people posting here
 are trying to contribute constructively.
 ====================================================================

 This still is an issue for older versions of Pidgin
 and users that for any reason (e.g. absence of compilation tools)
 cannot recompile Pidgin locally.


 FYI a co-worker that is a MS client
 has sent a formal e-mail last Thursday
 detailing the certificate issue.
 According to the Microsoft support system
 a service engineer should have replied in 24hrs.
 ''He has yet to receive any reply or acknowledgment''.
