New description:

 There have been quite a few of these reports with recent versions of
 Sametime.  I found these by searching for "Sametime file transfer".
 Previously a debug log was requested in ticket Ticket #12813, but I never
 saw any indication the user submitted one.  Although you may not have a
 Sametime person at the moment, perhaps the debug log will be helpful in
 pointing you to the source of the problem.  Log attached.

 '''Corrected the version number that is in use.'''  Although its a very
 outdated version, the problem has been reported for quite some time, is
 still being reported, and the Change Log on the wiki shows no indication
 that this problem has been addressed in any version subsequent to the
 2.6.6 version in use.

Comment:

 The problem arises when a Sametime user attempts to transfer a file to the
 Pidgin user.  The Pidgin user is prompted to accept the file, the Pidgin
 user Accepts the file transfer, the file transfer dialogue indicates that
 the file transfer has begun and is in progress but never moves from 0%.
 Eventually the Pidgin user either cancels the transfer or the transfer
 times out.  The "System Log" has no indication that anything ever
 happened.  The Debug Log gives some information and was attached.
