 The same is happening for me since the upgrade to 2.7.7  The only
 additional item I can add to this ticket is that the person I am trying to
 talk to actually is a Yahoo user.  MSN will allow you to connect w/ Yahoo
 Messenger users and I was able to chat w/ them before just fine prior to
 my upgrade.  Since the upgrade they can read my messages but I am not able
 to see theirs.

 An additional quirk is that when I log off and then log back on it says I
 have messages waiting and when I double click the contacts name, a window
 with text appears.
