 Steps to reproduce:
 1. Start Pidgin.
 2. Change your screen resolution or start an application which forces the
 resolution change (for example a game).

 Actual result:
 Pidgin crashes after resolution change completely. No .rpt dump file was
 created.

 Expected result:
 Pidgin works as before the resolution change.

 Additional information:
 System: Windows 7 Home Premium
 Intel i5-520M Processor
 4GB of RAM
 nVidia GeForce GT 330M

 The bug is reproducible every time, even with previous versions of Pidgin
 (back to 2.6.X).
