 Hi,

 I've just noticed that you cannot use Altcodes (e.g. typing in ALT + 0246
 using a Numpad would have to input the character "ö" within the message
 input box) within a Windows environment.

 This would be a big usability improvement, I prefer not changing my
 current language when I just want to enter a few "special" characters into
 the chat.

 I'm using Pidgin 2.7.4 on a Win7 x64 machine. I just wanted to point it
 out, I think it would be a beneficial small feature request.
