 Please follow [wiki:TipsForBugReports the instructions] to get a debug log
 and attach it to this ticket.[[BR]]With regard to point 1, that might be
 feasible, except that IMHO it should be treated as a full reconnection,
 since connecting to a second server requires going through the full
 reconnect procedure (resource bind, presence, etc).

 With regard to point 2, Pidgin doesn't cache DNS entries, though your
 operating system may.  A debug log will be illustrative here as to what is
 causing Pidgin to not try connecting to the second server.
