 According to a similar report on Macports, "this appears to be compiler
 dependent [[BR]]
 as configuring the port [pidgin] to use gcc-4.2 on Leopard allows it to
 build. gcc-4.2 [[BR]]
 is the default on Snow Leopard and is available but not the default on
 Leopard."

 Is there any good reason why pidgin should depend on gcc-4.2?
