 Thanks datallah, the patch works indeed.

 However I am now sure if the change should be rather seen as a workaround
 than a proper fix, as the problem is more with the IPv6 implementation in
 purple than bonjour specific, but I acknowledge that bonjour is where it
 is most likely to be experienced.

 If you also think that ideally the fix should be in the low-level network
 code, would you add at least a comment in the code both in the bonjour
 workaround and in proxy.c just where I added the dirty fix in the first
 patch?
