Comment:

 Windows XP SP3.
 You say the problem may be from MY windows and not from pidgin?
 A friend of mine uses Win7 and he is able to type Farsi.
 We both have installed the gtk+ runtime provided by Alexander Shaduri, not
 pidgin gtk.
