Comment(by v.plessky):
well, I did more testing.
For the records/search engines, and googling - Kopete in Log below (and
full log file attached above) is ver.1.0.80 from KDE 4.5.1, OpenSUSE 11.3.
Pidgin/Windows - ver.2.7.3, Windows Vista x86.
I have KDE 4.4.4 "Release 2" and Kopete 1.0.0 on another Linux machine.
It seems it behaves differently from 1.0.80. I need to upgrade that
notebook before further testing
ok, from Kopete 1.0.80 - chat with Pidgin 2.7.3

so, it works.
From my knowledge of XHTML and XML, messages are formatted correctly.
Reply from Pidgin (ASUS) to Kopete (MSI) - for some reason not logged.
But it was also displayed in chat window.
P.S. Probably I wil make setup just with pure unmanaged switch, no router.
And switch off UPnP detection - it was not clear from Log file that
"proxy" communication is related to UPnP.
May be it will fix some problems.
