 I have noted that formatting toolbars (Change Font, Insert Image, Insert
 Link and Insert Smiley) will appear then quickly disappear when using a
 standard single click.

 Behavior is only present when buttons are ungrouped.

 It also may be noteworthy that holding the mouse button down instead of
 clicking will allow the window to appear and not disappear upon release.
