 The Join/Part hiding plugin does a great job of fitting IRC more into
 Pidgin's approach to chat, but some of the channels I lurk in still have
 issues with excessive mode-changing.

 I think the simplest and most appropriate solution would be to add a
 checkbox which extends the Join/Part-hiding settings to also apply to
 mode-change messages.
