 Hi!

 I can confirm problems with Pidgin on receiving video calls from Empathy.
 But in my case, Pidgin just crashes then (magically, instantly
 disappears). For testing purposes I tried to video-call myself from my
 GTalk account in Empathy to my XMPP account in Pidgin on the same machine.
 But video calls from other hosts using Empathy are crashing Pidgin, too.
 Please let me know whether I should provide more info, debugging etc.

 Specs:

 - Sony Vaio FW4 Notebook, Intel-CPU, built-in Webcam (working and
 available as /dev/video0)
 - Ubuntu 10.04, 64 Bit
 - Linux linuropa 2.6.32-24-generic #43-Ubuntu SMP Thu Sep 16 14:58:24 UTC
 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux
 - Empathy 2.30.2
 - Pidgin 2.7.3
 - libpurple 2.7.3
