 I specified the "connect server" in the advanced section of the XMPP
 account, so the `_xmppconnect` requests seems useless to me. During normal
 connection (not a reconnection after network loss) pidgin connects to the
 account without making any DNS request outside the SOCKS5 proxy.

 > I think that at some point in the call graph, pidgin thinks that it
 needs to make a DNS query for an STUN server.

 A also have a global STUN server set to "localhost" in the global
 preferences, as well as a "pile transfer proxies" set to "localhost" in
 the XMPP account preferences.

 Did I miss something?
