 The sip developer agrees with you and tells me the IM window of pidgin is
 not something he wants to touch, but he will simply use what is there.

 We both agreed that there are presently no voice, (not SIPe), related
 buttons.

 Since this is the voice /video threat, I thought this was the place to
 ask.

 I don't quite understand your remark that "if SIP implements vv correctly
 the standard interface will just work"

 The standard IM interface has noting that is voice or video related.....If
 it has tell me how to make it visible.

 Am I missing the point here?
