Comment:

 I found out the updates: 2 Windows updates were made: KB979538 and
 KB2158563.
 I deleted all files associated with pidgin (including the pidgin4lib.dll),
 redownloaded it, and re-installed Pidgin.  It still won't open/work.  It's
 still listing us as offline and Pidgin itself is unresponsive.
 What should I do now?
