 I am using Symantec IM Manager server version 8.4.139 but unable to
 connect to it using the latest pidgin client version 2.7.11 from a Windows
 XP machine.

 I am able to connect to the Symantec IM Manager Server using AIM client
 version 7.5 ok. The Symantec IM Manager server is configure to listen on
 SSL port 443. I was told by Symantec that their IM Manager does not
 support Pidgin. Can you confirm this? Or do you have a solution for Pidgin
 to "talk" to Symantect IM Manager on SSL port 443 ??
