 Hi, I just wanted to say that this seems to still be a problem on Fedora
 15 which uses gnome3.

 according to the about page in pidgin it is version 2.7.11

 Pidgin 2.7.11-2.fc15 (libpurple 2.7.11)

 I'm a bit unsure if fedora perhaps runs a pre-release of 2.7.11 not
 containing the fix but I had troubles getting the mtn stuff (never used
 that version control).
