 OK, I'm confused.

 1) I didn't mention any pidgin plugins I'm running (and I just checked, I
 can't see that I have any selected).

 2) Obviously, you are quite confident it's a plugin, which means you must
 have seen this before.  So could you tell me what plugins you think the
 culprits might be?
