#11110: Pidgin appears to leak DNS for Jabber accounts
-------------------------------------+--------------------------------------
Reporter: ioerror | Owner: deryni
Type: defect | Status: closed
Milestone: 2.8.0 | Component: XMPP
Version: | Resolution: fixed
Keywords: jabber security privacy |
-------------------------------------+--------------------------------------
Comment(by ioerror):
I've attached four screenshots that show the state of the GTK widgets. The
pristine screenshots are from the pristine tree without any patches, the
enum-relocated has only a single change - the relocation of the enum as is
performed by the libpurple-proxy.h.patch I've attached.
I opened each account, went to the proxy tab, selected the field, saved
the account, went back, opened it again, and finally saved the screen
shot. The text in the right hand corner demonstrates what happens when the
callback is called and the text values are flushed to accounts.xml.
As you can see from the screenshots the pristine copy is lacking fields to
fill in and the enum renumbered is working as expected.
