 What about releasing with gtk-bundle 2.16.6-20091215 (last gtk-bundle that
 didn't use GDI+ for GIF parsing) until it gets fixed upstream (and
 upstream becomes compatible with Pidgin)? Is there anything in the later
 2.16.6 releases that Pidgin relies on (or important security fixes)?
