 I am facing the same issue like #6171 now. I am using Pidgin 2.9.0
 (libpurple 2.9.0) Windows XP. Each time the window width is increasing. I
 have updated GTK also which comes with Pidgin 2.9.0 installer. Please Fix
 ASAP
