 I don't think this should be configurable.  This isn't something user's
 should have to care about. From DesignGuidelines:
   "In general we try to keep the code and the user interface simple.
 Especially when it comes to preferences in the UI.  Pidgin should be as
 streamlined as possible.  It is an IM client, so messaging someone should

 follow."

 I could maybe be convinced to restore some/all of the old behavior... but
 I honestly don't remember what it looked like and I don't care enough to
 build with this patch to see.  If people really care about this then
 please attach a screenshot.
