Comment:

 If I copy the password - the correct one with [ to my clipboard the
 account is working.

 The passwords saving is correct in pidgin. The topic subject is wrong.
 There is no wrong password saving.

 The password is typed in using the password manager in pidgin and the
 browser.
 If I use the password with [ in the browser the password is working.

 It is like pidgin "swallows" (correct word?) some special characters if I
 use the password manager which just send the password letter by letter to
 the field.

 I will update the thread opener this evening.
