Comment(by cypr):

 It would be enough if (one of below):
  * Pidgin were checking environment variables for a clue on which language
 should be spell checked by default,
  * there was a convenient way of adding custom dictionaries (then we could
 concatenate as many languages as wanted into a single dictionary file),
  * Pidgin were spellchecking with all installed dictionaries at once.
