 I want to throw in my support for this as well.  For a client whose
 purpose is to combine multiple protocols and accounts in one place, it
 sounds like a perfectly reasonable and sensible option to have.

 I also take issue with developers dismissing it because it's not something
 *they* want.  Yes, it's certainly their right, but it's also just plain
 obnoxious.  At the very least, find a more diplomatic way to say that it's
 not going to happen.
