#11203: chat logs turning on and off-dont want the summary logged

Comment(by psydev):

 Why is that necessary? If you're the kind of person who turns your logging
 on and off, then you will be reasonably familiar with your logging
 behaviour and not need Pidgin to have this 'feature' to help you.
 What main reasons do people have to disable logging except to protect
 privacy? How often do logs mysteriously vanish, as you say? How does this
 logging notification help? Seems rather an exceptional case, and not a
 rule to go by for a feature.
 Personally I turn logging on and off all the time and I hate having to
 manually edit files to remove these log changes. This is a consistent
 problem that I as a user have, as opposed to a hypothetical or infrequent
 problem that you might have, when you're worried something may be amiss.
 You can just manage your files better if you're concerned. That shouldn't
 be the Pidgin's issue to deal with.
 Turning logging on/off was not logged in the old version of Pidgin, AFAIR,
 and I didn't hear any complaints.
