 Recent versions of Network Manager contain changes that conflict with
 Pidgin, so it does not connect upon logging in, even though all the
 accounts are enabled. The version of Pidgin I'm using is 2.10.0. The
 problem is solved if I call pidgin with the "-f" argument (pidgin -f), as
 it connects instantaneously.

 Here comes the thing. I also use finch, which is also based on libpurple.
 The problem is that I can't call finch in the same manner, because there
 is no "-f" argument available. It would be nice to have this
 implementation.
