 +1. I have encountered this problem as well. My observations
  * Conference is initiated by someone using Yahoo messenger on Windows
  * Initiator invites me (on Pidgin/Fedora), and another Person2 who's also
 on Yahoo/Windows
  * I can only see messages from the conference initiator, and nothing from
 Person2.

 This makes Pidgin useless for me as we use IM extensively as a workplace
 communication tool. Unfortunately it's the best IM client on Fedora.

 I am expecting two things here from the developer team
  * A response, as to if this issue will be looked into
  * I'm ready to contribute to fix this. How do I get started?
