 When I attempt to capitalize words or otherwise utilize the Shift key, I
 only get a lowercase letter or the default character, to my utter
 astonishment. I became perplexed and attempted to restart first the
 program, then the computer. I only compounded my anguish in the end, for
 the Shift key *did* have it's full faculties about it again, for a period
 of three seconds. I was then returned to my former, shiftless state.
