 i tried the solution(see the format line below) but still get:

 For advanced setting i set it to require encryption at 5222 and proxy i
 had default gnome. I am behind firewall but before i had no problem
 connecting and i can ping the ip fine... I tried SSL on 5222 but still
 samething...
