 Sorry to hear the fix is not helping anyone.  I just created another ICQ
 account and not 2 seconds after I got a message from some non-english bot
 (I had used the ICQ-web option to log it in the first time).  I just
 blocked it, and I haven't received anything else since.  Will keep
 monitoring.

 Are the bots all different accounts?  Or it is it the same one that is
 requesting authorization?  If it is the same ones, if you add them to your
 block list, you shouldn't hear from them again regardless even the
 authorization requests.

 I noticed ICQ has really moved the online features/website around.  And I
 am not even finding where they moved the online webaware setting at the
 moment.  It is still in Pidgin as I said and probably in other ICQ
 clients.  Although they don't list it in the web-icq version.  Or at least
 I haven't seen it yet.
