 That's what I am trying to point out here. It is NOT a connection-related
 issue (whatever the connection is, wirelesss, wired, slow, super-fast,
 laggy, whatever... it doesn't matter).

 I also tried it on a WinXP system. It is definetly a Pidgin issue; not a
 malfunction in the code itself, but with the servers, protocols, or server
 settings (in Pidgin accounts, or in the main server, idk).

 I'm just saying this 'cause, at my school, where there are 30 computers
 wired through multiple modems, all leading to the main frame, there was a
 similar issue : every file we tried to send to the main frame, would be
 duplicated. So... I assume it's about the same thing. Idk. :\

 Pidgin team please look into this!
