 I'll make a short summary about the things we discussed on IRC recently,
 darkrain42:

 I  was indeed using two SILC accounts at the same time. Crashes occured
 whenever they (re-)connected automatically simultaneously. I could verify
 evidence for the "resource freeing" problem:

 1) Connect to both accounts after one another.
 2) Disconnect from one account. => Nothing seems to happen.
 3) Disconnect from the other one as well. => Pidgin crashes immediately.

 I have downloaded the source in order to build it myself with the patch.
 However, I'm currently stuck because of build dependency problems. This
 seems to be an issue of the Debian distribution I use (Pidgin is 2.7.9
 from "unstable" while the majority of programmes is from Squeeze
 ["stable"]).
