 In the Add new account dialog, selecting type AIM, on the second tab
 ("Advanced") the alt-a shortcut is defined for 2 checkbox items and the
 Add button.

 This is in English locale, both on Windows (2.7.9) and Ubuntu
 (2.7.3-something).
