Comment:

 Can you try to get a debug log with the environment variable
 `PURPLE_VERBOSE_DEBUG` set to any non-empty value (such as 1 or y)?
 Please sanitize the phone numbers in question.  I'll need to see you
 trying to send the message and failing, as well as you successfully
 receiving and replying.  I'm betting there's been a subtle server-side
 change that affects only our handling of new conversations with mobile
 numbers on yahoo.
