 In the debug logs that are attached, it is doing a direct P2P file
 transfer, it isn't using the file transfer proxy, so we can't blame the
 proxy for this unfortunately.

 There isn't enough information in the logs to guess what is wrong here.
 It appears that the sender side thinks that the transfer is complete
 (because it has sent the whole file), there's nothing on the recipient
 side after it has successfully negotiated the file transfer method.

 Can you get another set of debug logs with pidgin running with the
 `PURPLE_VERBOSE_DEBUG` environment variable set?  There should be a few
 more lines of debug output.

 Also, if you try to send a larger file does a larger percentage of it get
 transferred before it fails?
