 I've tested this with my installation (Pidgin 2.9.0 on Windows 7 (SP1,
 x64)) and Pidgin 2.9.0 (from PPA) on Ubuntu 11.04 and there is no crash.
 Strangely enough, there is also no problem with file transfer between my
 installation and Pidgin 2.9.0 under Windows 7 (SP1, x64) on my brothers
 netbook in the same network. Maybe it's a Windows and network related
 problem?
