 I'm running Windows 7. To my knowledge, I did not get any Windows updates
 over night. This morning when I turned on the computer, Pidgin stopped
 working. It froze during start-up. The icon comes up in the taskbar tray,
 but it is unresponsive. I can't get the Buddies List to open. I can't do
 anything with the program. I have to use the task manager to end the
 "process;" it doesn't even come up as an "application." I had been running
 an earlier version (2.7?), so I downloaded 2.9.0 to see if that would
 help, but there was no change. I haven't downloaded any plug-ins.
