 Every time I attempt to start Pidgin 2.9.0 the program immediately crashes
 and Windows displays the "Pidgin has stopped working" error dialog window.

 This is a fresh install of Pidgin (I even deleted my .purple and Program
 Files/Pidgin folders before installing) and I do not have any 3-rd party
 add ons or plugins installed at this time.
