 Not to mention the very real costs associated with needing to have some
 system by which to verify that the distributed plugins are not malicious
 and/or horribly broken. Costs which are almost certainly beyond
 prohibitive for a project with no financial backing (completely ignoring
 the time commitments required to do it).
