 Is there any progress on this bug? I keep getting the "Accept certificate
 from talk.google.com" and am forced to use the unsatisfactory workaround
 (Pidgin / Account / Advanced / Use old style SSL & Connect Port 443.

 At a minimum, there should be an "Ability to remember choice to use non-
 matching certificate". Even better would be to accept the apparently valid
 cert (but it seems all the bugs for that are incredulously marked
 "wontfix")..
