How can one turn-off audio/video functionality for Pidgin's GTalk
configuration?
The applet in "plugins" has no option to just disable it.
One behavior is this: Someone tries to make audio chat with me, but it
fails to go through to either the browser or to the Pidgin interface.
This behavior ceases when I fully 'close' pidgin.
Another behavior is this: Pidgin interferes with inbound calls via GTalk;
Pidgin crashes after intercepting new calls for GTalk; No way to disable
GTalk audio calls.
This has appeared in various forms in other tickets, but seemed to be
resolved rationally. Still it is happening for me when I have the browser
and Pidgin logged-into GTalk. The call comes-in via Pidgin, and pidgin
throws a reaction that uses up lots of CPU and then pidgin fails to
repaint its windows, thereby becoming un-usable.
I hope to refine this initial message with an attachment and with
requested/prompted output feedback.
Thank you all for listening.
