 On IRC people often have _ or ` character at the end of their nick after
 reconnecting.  It would be better if they didn't change their color after
 switching back to their "main" nickname.  E.g., currently, after "foo` is
 now known as foo", nick coloring suddenly changes from bright blue to
 green or something like that.

 As a simplest way, Pidgin could remove any non-letter characters from the
 end of a nick before computing a color for it.
