 This problem is not fixed.

 I am seeing this same problem on pidgin 2.7.7 (portable/installed) on
 Windows XP professional. I am not using AIM, either. I use pidgin to
 connect to MSNIM Google Talk, and NateOn (the last thorugh a plug-in)
