 There is people working on QQ2010 protocol for libpurple, reference:
 http://code.google.com/p/libqq-pidgin/

 Protocols older than QQ2008 are completely not working now, and QQ2008 is
 in a state that might be abandoned soon by the service provider, IMHO.
