New description:
My yahoo password contains a !^ character. If I type it or copy-paste the
password, it works fine. However if I'm using keepasses auto-type
function, it does not work.
See keepass bug for reference:

Do note that the issue happens with portable (for potableapps.com) keepass
1.x and portable pidgin (latest version, both).
As a side note, I'd like to bring into attention the old issue of pidgin
keeping passwords in clear text. Having a portable pidgin kind of raises
security issues and the explanations and solutions provided for the
desktop version no longer hold. Somebody might want to rethink this whole
clear text password thing.
